Toxic Foam Surfboards are fun too!

Yes, I am the proud rider of 3 beautifully shaped surfboards...yes, i love them....and...yes, they are made of polystyrene.

Mark Nelson, Engineer @ Cisco, Lecturer at UT Dallas had this to say

"In 'Biodegradation of Polystyrene, Poly(methyl methacrylate), and Phenol Formaldehyde' by Kaplan, Hartenstein, and Sutter, it is shown that polystyrene is basically inert, and even in the presence of active bioactive cultures does not decompose at all.

So if you want to get rid of your polystyrene, sorry, you are probably going to have to incinerate it."
